Central to the Squids 3190 Tape Measure Tethering Kit is the 3130 Coiled Cable Lanyard with Carabiners. This handy lanyard utilizes a sturdy, PU-covered aircraft cable and a convenient coiled design to help prevent snags, tangles and other tripping hazards. Stainless-steel, manual-screw lock carabiners on both ends of the lanyard feature a patent-pending captive-eye, swiveling-carabiner attachment system that reduces recoil force to prevent aggressive snap back. The included Squids 3770 Tape Measure Trap allows you to easily keep your rule snug and secure. Just open up the hook-and-loop straps on the trap, place your tape measure inside, and then adjust and tighten the hook-and-loop straps to keep the rule secure. Once you have your tape measure in place, simply attach the trap's D-ring to your tool lanyard to complete your tethering system. Kit is third-party certified to a 2 lb maximum working capacity with a 2:1 safety factor.
